William Weinstein, M.S., L.Ac

WilliamWilliam Weinstein, M.S., L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist in private practice in New Paltz and Manhattan. A diplomate in acupuncture of the National Certification Commission on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, he holds a Master of Science degree from Tri-State College of Acupuncture and Master of Arts in Psychology from the New School for Social Research. He is former Interim Director of Clinical Training of Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City.

From July 2005 through June 2006, he was part of the innovative Acupuncture in Labor study at Lutheran Medical Center, working directly with birthing mothers in Lutheran’s labor-and-delivery service. A writer and educator, he was editor of Meridian Times, the journal of the Acupuncture Society of New York in 2005-2006. He had a long career in public education as a teacher, administrator, teacher trainer, and federal project director.

Bill is a lifelong bicyclist. As part of his public-service commitment, Bill is the Chair of the New Paltz Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee, which seeks to facilitate non-motorized transportation in the community.

His acupuncture focus encompasses pain management for many disorders from a myofascial as well as Chinese medicine perspective. He has supported many individuals through chronic illness and works closely with mental health professionals around the issues of anxiety and depression.

Most recently, he has added an outstanding cosmetic acupuncture system to his practice to help people look better as well as feel better, without cutting, surgery or long recovery periods, at substantial savings over the cost of surgical procedures.

His new Corporate Wellness Program, in collaboration with Nutritionist and Author Vicki Koenig, aids companies that wish to lower healthcare costs and, mostly importantly, it provides direct support to the employees of these companies as well.
